Hello!
I’m Tom, a London based web developer, tech lead, and data visualisation expert. I have over two decades experience of building on the things web. Working with data I make the hidden visible and the complex legible.
If you’ve read the news on the web over the last 20 years you may have seen some of my work for BBC News or the Financial Times.
More recently, after a brief stint at Condé Nast, I’ve worked with data design agencies After The Flood and Signal Noise helping commercial, government, and third sector clients use their data to create new products and make evidence based decisions.
Recently, I’ve returned to journalism and media, making editorial graphics and tools for journalists at Carbon Brief.
I have some capacity to take on interesting freelance projects focussing on science communication, enironmental concerns, cites, and transportation. If that sounds interesting, get in touch!
