Xinhua News Agency, Guangzhou, April 24 - Against the backdrop of the bankruptcy of the world's largest toy retailer "Toys R Us", China's toy industry has demonstrated strong resilience. At the ongoing second phase of the 123rd Canton Fair, Chinese branded toy companies are generally optimistic about the export market.

中国目前是全球最大的玩具生产和出口基地,其中广东出口额占全国一半以上。受益于创新产品不断涌现和欧美经济复苏,2017年中国玩具出口额达441.5亿美元,同比增长31.2%,创近10年来最大增幅。

China is currently the world's largest toy production and export base, with Guangdong accounting for more than half of national exports. Benefiting from continuous innovation in products and economic recovery in Europe and America, China's toy exports in 2017 reached $44.15 billion, a year-on-year increase of 31.2%, the largest growth in nearly 10 years.

广东省玩具协会数据显示,2017年广东加工贸易方式出口的玩具产品占比已降至42.52%,而自主品牌出口比例显著提升,标志着中国玩具产业正在向价值链高端攀升。

Data from the Guangdong Toy Association shows that in 2017, the proportion of toys exported through processing trade in Guangdong dropped to 42.52%, while the proportion of self-branded exports increased significantly, marking that China's toy industry is climbing to the high end of the value chain.
