Dark tea, as one of the six major tea categories in China, is produced in many provinces and forms a large family. Though all belong to dark tea, each has unique characteristics.

一、历史文化 | History and Culture

历史上黑茶的销路大体分为两条路径:一条是外销、一条是边销。

Historically, dark tea had two main distribution routes: export and border trade.

六堡茶为中国千年名茶,因原产于广西梧州市苍梧县六堡乡而得名。在清朝嘉庆年间,六堡茶以其独特的槟榔香味被列为全国24名茶之一。

Liubao tea is a famous Chinese tea with a thousand-year history, named after its origin in Liubao Township, Cangwu County, Wuzhou City, Guangxi. During the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty, it was listed as one of China's 24 famous teas for its unique betel nut aroma.

陕西茯茶历史悠久。曾因采用湖南安化黑毛茶为原料,早期名"湖茶",因原料送到泾阳手工筑制,便称"泾阳砖"。

Shaanxi Fu tea has a long history. Originally called "Hu tea" because it used Hunan Anhua dark tea as raw material, it was later named "Jingyang brick" as the materials were sent to Jingyang for manual processing.

二、原料 | Raw Materials

六堡茶选用苍梧县群体种、大中叶种及其分离、选育的品种、品系茶树的鲜叶为原料。

Liubao tea uses fresh leaves from Cangwu County group varieties, large and medium-leaf species, and their derived or bred varieties.

陕西茯茶是以特定区域内的黑毛茶为主要原料。

Shaanxi Fu tea mainly uses dark tea leaves from specific regions as raw material.

三、工艺 | Production Process

六堡茶按制作工艺分为:传统工艺六堡茶和现代工艺六堡茶。

Liubao tea is divided by production process into traditional process Liubao tea and modern process Liubao tea.

陕西茯茶是以黑毛茶为主要原料,经过毛茶筛分、半成品拼配、渥堆、汽蒸、发花、干燥、检验、成品包装等工艺生产而成。

Shaanxi Fu tea is produced from dark tea leaves through processes including screening, blending, pile fermentation, steaming, flowering, drying, inspection, and packaging.

四、口感 | Taste Profile

六堡茶具有别的黑茶所没有的独特槟榔香韵。

Liubao tea has a unique betel nut aroma not found in other dark teas.

陕西茯茶口感上看来,其特点主要在于"醇厚、有菌花香"两个方面。

Shaanxi Fu tea is characterized by its "mellow taste and fungal floral aroma".

五、成品形态 | Final Product Forms

六堡茶的成品形态则较为多变,目前主要市场上的成品形态有,箩装紧压茶、大砖、小砖、茶饼、沱茶、茶柱和散茶等。

Liubao tea comes in various forms including basket-pressed tea, large bricks, small bricks, tea cakes, tuo tea, tea columns, and loose tea.

陕西茯茶的成品按照形制划分可分为散茯与茯砖,但主要以大砖茶为主。

Shaanxi Fu tea products can be divided into loose Fu tea and Fu bricks, with large brick tea being the main form.

广西六堡茶与陕西茯茶,二者都归属于黑茶,但又各有亮点,都是十分值得品评的茶叶!
