    Hi everyone,

Could you please clarify something for me? 🙂
If I’m selling virtual products with instant access, should I select only the “Completed” status here?

    My funnel is quite simple:

    • A customer either pays right away (the order goes straight to Completed),
    • or goes through the checkout but doesn’t finish the payment immediately (Pending payment status),
    • and later completes the payment through an abandoned cart reminder — which then changes the order status to Completed.

I’d like to understand how this feature works — does it send a purchase event for every status checked here?
If so, in my case, could that cause duplicate purchase events?

What’s the best way to set this up properly? 😊

    Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏

Hello @woji29911, the purchase event is triggered when a client places an order on your website and will fire for all the order statuses you’ve selected.

In your case, keep only the “Completed” status selected.

This way, when a client later finishes the payment and the order changes from “Pending payment” to “Completed”, the plugin will automatically send a server purchase event through the Advanced Purchase Tracking option: https://prnt.sc/gWtfR0wMMgRc

Thank you very much for your answer. I actually switched off APT earlier because I thought it was causing double Meta conversions – so it wasn’t APT itself, but rather because I had all the order statuses checked, right? 🙂

Correct. It can work that way too, but since not all pending payments may be successful, your data might be inaccurate. It’s best to disable that status and keep Advanced Purchase Tracking (APT) enabled — we’ll then send a server event when the payment is completed.
