The weakness in these major consumer markets directly affects China's textile and apparel exports.

The State Council has introduced 18 measures to stabilize foreign trade, while local governments organize enterprises to participate in overseas exhibitions and provide exchange rate hedging services. Enterprises are exploring new markets through equipment upgrades and cross-border e-commerce. China's textile and apparel exports grew year-on-year in April, showing the initial effects of policy implementation.
专家认为,纺织产业向东南亚转移是全球化布局的必然趋势。中国应把握机遇,向产业链高端升级,提高纺织机械等高附加值产品出口比重,实现从"世界工厂"向"全球价值链高端"的转型。
Experts believe that the transfer of textile industry to Southeast Asia is an inevitable trend in global layout. China should seize the opportunity to upgrade to the high end of the industrial chain, increase the proportion of high value-added products such as textile machinery in exports, and realize the transformation from "world factory" to "high end of global value chain".
