On July 11, a China-Europe Railway Express train fully loaded with electronic products arrived in Germany, marking the 10,000th trip of China's first China-Europe Railway Express route. This milestone demonstrates the strong resilience of the service amid the pandemic and volatile international situation.
Key statistics from January to June 2022:

The China-Europe Railway Express has become a key stabilizer of global supply chains. Compared with sea transport, it can save about 30 days in transportation time while significantly reducing cargo damage risks. Taking the new route from Huangshi, Hubei to Duisburg, Germany as an example, it can stably transport nearly 200,000 tons of goods annually.
Network expansion and quality improvement:
• Reaching over 180 cities in more than 20 European countries
• Loaded container ratio increased from 77.2% in 2016 to 98.1% in 2021
• Cargo categories expanded from IT products to over 50,000 types
Kavus Khederzadeh, general manager of Frankfurt-Höchst Industrial Park in Germany, said: "The China-Europe Railway Express is crucial to world trade. It is an ideal solution when route security is guaranteed."
With the introduction of innovative models such as "Railway Express Clearance", customs clearance time for China-Europe Railway Express can be shortened by 24 hours, with savings of over 200 yuan per container. The National Development and Reform Commission stated that it will actively explore the "integrated transport and trade" model in the future to further enhance added value and profitability.
