January 13, 2024 - According to the latest data from China's General Administration of Customs, the country's foreign trade delivered an impressive performance in 2024: total import and export value reached 43.85 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5%. Exports totaled 25.45 trillion yuan (up 7.1%) while imports reached 18.39 trillion yuan (up 2.3%).

东部地区继续发挥"压舱石"作用，进出口34.95万亿元(增长5.4%)，占全国79.7%。
Eastern Region maintained its stabilizing role with 34.95 trillion yuan in trade (up 5.4%), accounting for 79.7% of the national total.
中西部地区日益走向开放前沿，进出口7.65万亿元(增长4%)，加工贸易占比达25.5%。
Central and Western Regions are increasingly becoming open frontiers with 7.65 trillion yuan in trade (up 4%), where processing trade accounted for 25.5%.
东北地区进出口连续4年创新高，达1.25万亿元(增长1.6%)，工程机械、家电出口分别增长10.5%和14.4%。

海关总署表示，2025年中国进口增长空间巨大，到2030年仅自发展中国家累计进口就有望超过8万亿美元，中国大市场将为世界提供更大机遇。
