Cambodia's Garment Exports Show Strong Recovery: Surpassing $3 Billion in First Three Months
金边消息 - 柬埔寨劳工与职业培训部国务秘书兴索近日透露，随着疫情形势好转，柬埔寨服装产业正迎来显著复苏。2022年前三个月，该国服装纺织品出口总额已突破30亿美元大关。
Latest Update - Hing Thor, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, announced that Cambodia's garment industry is experiencing a remarkable recovery as the pandemic situation improves. In the first three months of 2022, the country's total garment and textile exports have exceeded $3 billion.
兴索表示："2020年至2021年疫情期间，柬埔寨服装纺织品出口量急剧下滑，导致众多工厂关闭，大量工人失业。但自2021年底以来，行业开始复苏，已有70家新工厂开业，创造了82万个就业岗位。"
"During the pandemic from 2020 to 2021, Cambodia's garment exports declined sharply, forcing many factories to close and leaving numerous workers unemployed," said Hing Thor. "However, since late 2021, the industry has begun to recover, with 70 new factories opening and creating 820,000 jobs."
这位官员特别指出，洪森总理推行的疫苗接种政策是行业复苏的关键因素："及时的疫苗接种不仅保护了工人健康，更增强了投资者信心，吸引了更多服装业投资进入柬埔寨。"
The official particularly emphasized that Prime Minister Hun Sen's vaccination policy was crucial to the recovery: "Timely vaccination not only protected workers' health but also boosted investor confidence, attracting more garment industry investments to Cambodia."
