Fuzhou, as one of China's four major jasmine tea production areas, is renowned worldwide for its unique single-petal jasmine varieties and exquisite scenting techniques. "One flower can fragrance a whole room, cooling the skin even in hot summer" - this verse by Song Dynasty poet Liu Kezhuang vividly depicts the enchanting charm of jasmine.

The Historical Heritage of Jasmine Homeland

茉莉花最早起源于古罗马帝国，通过海上丝绸之路传入福州，使福州获得了"茉莉之乡"的美誉。北宋时期，福州已是满城茉莉飘香。

Jasmine originated in the ancient Roman Empire and was introduced to Fuzhou via the Maritime Silk Road, earning Fuzhou the reputation as the "Homeland of Jasmine". By the Northern Song Dynasty, Fuzhou was already filled with the fragrance of jasmine.

Unique Variety Advantages

福州茉莉花主要分为单瓣茉莉和双瓣茉莉两种：

2022年，福州市政府发布《关于推进福州茉莉花茶产业高质量发展行动方案》，计划到2025年实现全产业链产值突破百亿元。目前，福州茉莉花茶品牌价值已达38.7亿元。

In 2022, the Fuzhou Municipal Government issued the "Action Plan for Promoting High-Quality Development of Fuzhou Jasmine Tea Industry", aiming to achieve an industrial chain output value exceeding 10 billion yuan by 2025. Currently, the brand value of Fuzhou jasmine tea has reached 3.87 billion yuan.

全球重要农业文化遗产

Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System

2014年，福州茉莉花与茶文化系统被联合国粮农组织列入全球重要农业文化遗产。2021年，该系统入选第二届"全球减贫案例征集活动"最佳案例。

In 2014, the Fuzhou Jasmine and Tea Culture System was included in the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems by FAO. In 2021, this system was selected as a best practice case in the second "Global Poverty Reduction Case Collection Activity".
