In your terminal,

run sudo pam-auth-update - manage

A Popup prompt window will open.

in your first option,

[*] Kerberos authentication

navigate and press space bar and select Ok.

try to change your password. once its done, run the same command and add * once again. [ ] Kerberos authentication
