Details

This integration uses pre-built, source-available components from Pipedream's GitHub repo. These components are developed by Pipedream and the community, and verified and maintained by Pipedream.

To contribute an update to an existing component or create a new component, create a PR on GitHub. If you're new to Pipedream component development, you can start with quickstarts for trigger span and action development, and then review the component API reference.

Trigger

Description:Emit new event when an issue is created. Note that Jira supports only one webhook, if more sources are needed please use `New Event` source and select multiple events.
Version:0.0.13
Key:jira-issue-created

Jira Overview

The Jira API opens up a world of possibilities for automating project management tasks, syncing with other tools, and enhancing data visibility. With Pipedream's integration, you can streamline issue tracking by automatically creating, updating, and searching for issues in Jira, as well as managing projects, sprints, users, and more. This integration not only saves time but also ensures real-time data flow across various platforms, keeping teams in sync and projects on track.

Trigger Code

import common from "../common/common.mjs"; export default { key: "jira-issue-created", name: "New Issue Created Event (Instant)", description: "Emit new event when an issue is created. Note that Jira supports only one webhook, if more sources are needed please use `New Event` source and select multiple events.", version: "0.0.13", type: "source", dedupe: "unique", ...common, methods: { ...common.methods, getEvents() { return [ "jira:issue_created", ]; }, }, };

Trigger Configuration

This component may be configured based on the props defined in the component code. Pipedream automatically prompts for input values in the UI and CLI.

JQL FilterjqlFilterstring

The JQL filter that specifies which issues the webhook is sent for, only a subset of JQL can be used, e.g. project = P1 See supported JQL filters

Override Existing WebhooksoverrideExistingWebhooksboolean

Override existing webhooks with this new Pipedream source's webhook. Recommend to set this to true if you have an existing Jira webhook that you no longer use and want to override with the new Pipedream source.

Trigger Authentication

Jira uses OAuth authentication. When you connect your Jira account, Pipedream will open a popup window where you can sign into Jira and grant Pipedream permission to connect to your account. Pipedream securely stores and automatically refreshes the OAuth tokens so you can easily authenticate any Jira API.

Pipedream requests the following authorization scopes when you connect your account:
