  • Did you grow up on girls go games or making your characters or self on flash?
  • Are you worried people aren’t making their OCs in dollmakers as god intended with the rise of AI?
  • Did you experience euphoria when you were able to make yourself in a game?
  • Are you sad that a lot of these seem to have died with flash?

Well good news!!! Me, @fizzsea, and @goody-goody-gunshots are hosting a dollmaker jam!!|

We included engines and tutorials and scripts to make making a dollmaker easier for beginners!! This jam is low stake and meant to be done for fun!!!!

Do you have any advice for those of us stuck with static/client-side? When I got my site, static NFS hosting was way cheaper than dynamic.

I made a guide for hosting a site and you can do it for less than $11 a year with an easy to use Panel.

There’s also free alternatives like Teacake, and you could always put stuff on a subdomain with an alternative which is what I used to back when I used Teacake. I assume your hosting client uses Cpanel for Dynamic which i usually expensive because Cpanel charges a lot. Teacake and Leprd also use Cpanel but I really.. think it is not the best because of the inherit limitations of it.

If you are truly stuck with clientside but dislike working that way, there’s things like SSG generators. They’re very popular among the Neocities crowd. Unfortunately, if you stick to coding with Only HTML and JS, but you’ll always be extremely limited in what you can do with only static options because of how browsers display information.
