There was a similar error reported recently that may have been tracked to the Pavilion Events plugin, if you have that on your site too? Disabling it seemed to fix it in the short term:

@pfaffman and @Jagster - it’s diagnosed, by process of elimination, it seems that it was the discourse-events plugin (which I have now disabled). Thanks for the support
