With the press of the startup button, the entire production line came to life with the roar of machinery and the rich aroma of tea filling the air at the Wanshou Palace by the Meishui Bridge in Meitan County, Guizhou Province.
Perfect Restoration of Historic Craftsmanship
Tea master Ao Bangxue explained: "This production line is a 1:1 replica of the original export black tea production line from the Tea Industry Museum, completely preserving the traditional production process from the 1960s." In 1960, to meet international market demands, Meitan Tea Farm innovatively designed this zero-carbon, clean, and efficient wooden production line, achieving the "four modernizations" of export black tea refining: automation, standardization, scale, and cleanliness.
Cultural Heritage and Industrial Innovation
Meitan County's restoration of this wooden black tea production line aims to dynamically showcase the traditional production techniques of Guizhou export black tea brands like "Qianhong." This production line doesn't just manufacture tea—it produces cultural tea and memory tea that carry history, revitalizing traditional craftsmanship in the modern era.
