Enjoyed it! Was clichéd yet,still had many interesting parts.
Watched all episodes in a couple days,as wanted to see how it ended.
Speaking of how it did finish.. My interpretation is Mae left & came back or she,hypocritically played that scenario in her mind. Either way Toast was there waiting,by the car to leave with someone.
At one point felt Mae killed her partner,to leave with the baby & help the girl escape.
However being Evelyn met her fate or so it seemed,wouldn't staff or academy in general pose a threat no longer to anyone-Like Abbie?
The town itself was based around Evelyn or her version of community & people that once attended the academy,couldn't leave due to a variety of reasons.. Why it finally crumbled,as people came in that didn't fit or play along to her games.
I have seen comments about Mae & although not a perfect actress,she doesn't deserve such criticism.. Think her acting style comes scross,like actress Kristen Stewart.. Ackward,certain voice reflection..etc.
Was interesting Mae had a major part,in the series development.
Actors chosen & acting was nicely done,cinematography also good.
I'm sure parts of the series could of been condensed,however it was decently paced.
Worth checking out if you want a series that concludes,in a season or doesn't leave you on a cliffhanger.

Definitely a slow burn & not much does happen,expect at certain times.
However,was interested to see how it ends.
Was cast fine & acting was ok,as was cinematography.. The little girl was adorable,hope to see her in more productions.
Felt like a suspenful thriller,not really horror.. There wasn't huge amounts of gore,so you relied on the story being told instead.

Lifetime is getting desperate.
Why did they put Maggie L in a horrible wig? She is a blonde,so is the daughter in the story.. Could of hired a brunette actress,guess it was odd casting.
Anyway.. This was not worth telling,feel someone is trying to"still"get famous or needs money.
Considering this was true life it was hard feeling sympathy for anyone,looked up her profile she never become much or a star.. She had to narrate parts in this movie,too? Felt narcissistic or attention seeking.
Did seem she was always a victim,from issues at school & so forth.. During one scene the minor daughter wore inappropriate church attire,yet mom acted again like it was others acting wrong.
Not saying Doug was perfect,without fault & so forth but.. Wasn't like she was forced into anything! She remained married for enough time,if was that bad why not leave sooner.
Than again it seemed like mom,was indulged in some fantasy too.. Also mom referencing God & his plans,felt like an excuse over certain decisions.
The scene of Courtney checking out their bed,after being intimate & joyfully showing Doug her discovery was unnecessary.
Her father seemed like a good person,just needed to be more involved than letting mom dictate things.
I wish Lifetime would stop,this type"so called,ripped from the headlines"or sharing Tubi movies & get back to quality.
Casting to acting was average,cinematography was good.. Otherwise clichéd & in all honesty felt much,was for dramatic or sensationized purposes.
Finally was nice seeing Nicole E in a brief role,after her dealing with cancer.
