When you see an IMDb rating as low as 3.8/10 you always hope that it's wrong. Sadly with 'Trust' it's a pretty fair score. This was a tough one to sit through.
The movie is very sloppy in almost every area. The dialogue is poor, the acting is second rate and some of the choices the script decides to make are just bizarre. It is very frustrating some of the things that happen in this movie.
Making the lead character pregnant is a pet hate of mine. It just makes the character feel so incredibly safe. I think they do it for the opposite reason, to make people really care about her fate, but it never works that way.
I could write paragraph after paragraph about the things I didn't like about this one. But I won't. I'll just say I did not care for it and leave it at that. 3/10.

Trust (2025) is a thriller movie starring Sophie Turner in the leading role and the movie itself was really freaking atrocious.
Positives for Trust (2025): My one positive for this movie is Sophie Turner's performance as the main character.
Negatives for Trust (2025): The movie sets up these different plotlines for Sophie Turner's character, but they are not explored whatsoever and instead we get a generic home invasion movie with Sophie Turner trapped in a small room. The home invaders in this movie are the most generic and one-dimensional buffoons I've seen in this genre. You also have Sophie Turner trapped in the small room and she doesn't makes any attempts to get out of the room and when she finds a solution, she does something unbelievably stupid that makes you question the writer of this movie. The movie is literally wasting your time with filler that goes nowhere and means nothing to the story. And finally, the resolution to the main plot is so stupid that it feels like the writer is insulting the audience's intelligence.
Overall, Trust (2025) is a dull and boring thriller movie with some of the worst writing I've ever seen in my life and it is easily one of the worst movies of 2025.

Trust (2025) tries to be a tense survival thriller, but honestly it plays more like an accidental comedy. The story is messy, the characters act in ways that make no sense, and the tension never really lands. Instead of being thrilling, it often feels chaotic and unintentionally funny. In the end, there isn't much here that's actually engaging or worth remembering.
I know it is fiction but to have a 29 -year -old girl with a man, that is, Peter who is almost 70 years old is really squalid and are always worsening in the films in the TV series are pushing more and more in creating couples with 30 or 40 years of difference it almost seems that slowly I want to normalize the relationships between men of 50 or 60/70 years with teenagers, this film is really disgusting I think that even Sydney Sweeney who never refuses any role. Fim would have refused it!
Mentioning Sharon Tate in this movie. In that scene.
Shame on the makers.
And trying to make the scene funny? I am speechless and ashamed.
The movie shouldn't even be marketed as a thriller, but an Ö-class comedy-sort of.
Actors did their best, I'm sure, but absolutely nothing else in this movie works.
