While the editors juiced up the title (I couldn't have come up with something quite so attention grabbing) I did enjoy writing this piece, and fully believe the message. My favorite part of writing this article was finding the list of startups and other companies using Apache DataFusion, which I will attempt to replicate here: Many new startups are using DataFusion in their products, including Flarion, wayfare.ai, LakeSail, Embucket, Inc. Feldera, Pydantic. They join the ranks of more mature startups, such as Synnada, Polygon.io, Greptime, LanceDB WrenAI (Canner) , Spice AI, Cube OpenObserve, InfluxData and Coralogix, as well as established companies like Apple, eBay, and Datadog , which use DataFusion to optimize internal systems and processes. Finally, the last 12 months saw the first wave of DataFusion product-powered startups acquired: SDF Labs by dbt Labs and Arroyo (acquired by Cloudflare) Cloudflare
