You can configure Jamf Protect to send users email notifications about new alerts.
Emails from Jamf Protect are sent from the following address:
no-reply@protect.jamfcloud.com
Jamf Protect checks your tenant every 30 seconds for new alerts. Depending on how many new alerts exist, email content displays your alert information in the following ways:
- 3 or fewer new alerts—Each alert and its information are displayed in individual tables.
- 4 or more new alerts—Alerts and their information are compiled into a single table.
Informational alerts are not included when email notifications are enabled.
Jamf Protect uses Amazon's Simple Email Service (SES) to securely send emails. Email exchanges comply with Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance (DMARC) email authentication protocols, and emails are signed and verified using DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM).
Users who receive email notifications also have access to alert and computer-related information, even if the user does not have a Jamf Protect role with the Computers and Alerts read permissions.
Selected users will now receive email notifications about new Jamf Protect alerts, similar to the following:
