Overview of China's Garment Exports in 2023
根据中国海关统计,2023年1-12月,我国服装(含衣着附件)累计出口1591.4亿美元,同比下降7.8%,但较疫情前的2019年同期增长8.5%。
According to China Customs statistics, from January to December 2023, China's garment exports (including clothing accessories) totaled $159.14 billion, down 7.8% year-on-year but up 8.5% compared with the same period in 2019 before the pandemic.
出口价格下降是主要影响因素
Declining Export Prices as Major Factor
2023年1-11月数据显示,梭织服装出口价格同比下降5.5%,针织服装出口价格下降7.8%。价格下降的主要原因包括:2022年高基数效应、国际消费能力减弱、国内PPI连续负增长、人民币贬值以及跨境电商低价产品比重增加。
Data from January to November 2023 shows that woven garment export prices fell 5.5% year-on-year, while knitted garment prices dropped 7.8%. The main reasons for price declines include: high base effect from 2022, weakened international consumption capacity, 14 consecutive months of negative PPI growth in China, RMB depreciation, and increased proportion of low-priced cross-border e-commerce products.

Significant Changes in Market Structure
对西方发达经济体出口同比下降14.7%,但对"一带一路"沿线国家出口增长1.4%,其中对中亚五国出口大增16.7%,俄罗斯增长12.8%,非洲增长15%。
Exports to Western developed economies fell 14.7% year-on-year, while exports to Belt and Road countries grew 1.4%, with Central Asian countries up 16.7%, Russia up 12.8%, and Africa up 15%.
区域出口表现差异
Regional Export Performance Differences
东部"五省一市"出口普遍下降,但中西部地区出口增长5.9%,其中新疆、湖北、广西、四川分别增长23.6%、32.1%、17%和60.2%。
Exports from eastern China's "five provinces and one city" generally declined, but central and western regions saw 5.9% growth, with Xinjiang, Hubei, Guangxi and Sichuan increasing by 23.6%, 32.1%, 17% and 60.2% respectively.

2024 Outlook
国际货币基金组织预测2024年全球经济增速将放缓至2.9%。美国市场需求有望改善,但欧元区经济复苏乏力,日本消费持续疲软。同时需关注"近岸外包"趋势和地缘政治风险。
The IMF predicts global economic growth will slow to 2.9% in 2024. U.S. market demand is expected to improve, but Eurozone recovery remains weak and Japanese consumption continues to be sluggish. Attention should also be paid to "nearshoring" trends and geopolitical risks.
