New Opportunities for Global Green Tea Industry: Emeishan International Tea Expo Reaches Key Consensus

中国乐山6月16日电 - 第四届国际（乐山）绿茶大会暨第五届中国茶乡峨眉山国际茶文化博览交易会今日盛大开幕，近20个国家茶界专家齐聚四川乐山，共谋绿茶产业发展大计。

Leshan, China, June 16 - The 4th International (Leshan) Green Tea Conference and 5th China Tea Town Emeishan International Tea Culture Expo opened today, gathering tea experts from nearly 20 countries to discuss the future development of green tea industry.

本次大会以"峨眉山茶·世界共享"为主题，由中国食品土畜进出口商会等权威机构联合主办。数据显示，2023年1-4月中国茶叶出口11.73万吨，其中绿茶仍占据主导地位。

With the theme "Emeishan Tea for the World to Share", the conference was co-organized by authoritative institutions including China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Foodstuffs. Statistics show that China exported 117,300 tons of tea from January to April 2023, with green tea remaining dominant.

国际茶叶委员会负责人马蒙·阿姆鲁克通过视频表示："期待中国与其他产茶国加强合作，共同推动全球茶产业健康发展。"

Mr. Mamoun Amrouk, head of the FAO Intergovernmental Group on Tea, said via video: "We look forward to China strengthening cooperation with other tea-producing countries to jointly promote the healthy development of the global tea industry."

乐山市委书记马波介绍，当地茶叶种植面积已达140万亩，出口绿茶占全国总量的10%，带动100多万人增收致富。乐山茶产业品牌价值达46.44亿元。

Ma Bo, Secretary of the Leshan Municipal Party Committee, said the local tea planting area has reached 1.4 million mu, with exported green tea accounting for 10% of the national total, helping over 1 million people increase income. The brand value of Leshan's tea industry has reached 4.644 billion yuan.

大会发布了具有里程碑意义的《国际绿茶合作发展（乐山）共识》和《全球绿茶报告》，为全球绿茶产业发展提供了重要参考。

The conference released the landmark "Leshan Consensus on International Green Tea Cooperation and Development" and the "Global Green Tea Report", providing important references for the development of global green tea industry.

在签约环节，乐山市与中国食品土畜进出口商会签署战略合作协议，12家茶企围绕茶叶产销、茶旅融合、品牌推广等领域达成合作。

During the signing ceremony, Leshan City signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Foodstuffs, while 12 tea companies reached cooperation agreements in areas including tea production and sales, tea tourism integration, and brand promotion.

专家表示，随着全球健康消费意识提升，绿茶产业将迎来新的发展机遇，中国作为全球最大绿茶产销国，将在推动行业标准制定和市场拓展方面发挥关键作用。

Experts said that with the increasing global awareness of healthy consumption, the green tea industry will usher in new development opportunities. As the world's largest green tea producer and consumer, China will play a key role in promoting industry standard setting and market expansion.
