Camel team owner Hu Mingfang explained that these camels were transported from Erenhot, Inner Mongolia to Kunming on December 25 last year and are currently kept at the Songming Yanglin Vocational Education Park. To help the camels adapt to the plateau environment, they are taken out for walks every day.
"These are worldly camels", Hu Mingfang said the camel team avoids rush hours when walking on roads and doesn't disrupt normal traffic. Traffic police also provide appropriate assistance.

These camels have extraordinary experiences. In 2013, Hu Mingfang led 120 camels from Inner Mongolia through Shanxi, Hubei and other places to Anhua, Hunan, then carried nearly 10 tons of dark tea back to Inner Mongolia along the Ancient Tea Road, a journey lasting over a year.
During this arduous journey, the number of camels decreased from the initial 120 to 70, with a mortality rate exceeding 40%. Hu Mingfang invested over 10 million yuan in this project, but he believes it has significant cultural value.
Planning Camel Club to Promote Camel Culture
Hu Mingfang plans to establish China's first camel club in Kunming, organizing activities like camel riding and racing. He said: "There are many equestrian clubs now, but no camel clubs. Actually, within 50 meters, camels can run faster than horses."
Currently, 23 camels have arrived in Kunming, and the rest will be transported to Yunnan in the future. Hu Mingfang hopes this approach will help more people understand camels and their cultural significance.
