今年入伏以来，受台风影响，北京地区降水频繁。三伏天是一年中最热的时候，雨水一多，更是湿热难耐。中国饮食文化讲究应时当令。在暑湿的天气里，可以选择喝一些产于广西的六堡茶。

This tea removes dampness, reduces dryness, and soothes the stomach. For over a hundred years, it has been popular in humid regions like Malaysia and Singapore. The author once visited tea markets in Southeast Asia and found that Liubao tea has an excellent reputation, being an essential health tea in overseas Chinese households.

High-quality tea recorded in Qing Dynasty county annals

六堡茶是中国黑茶的一类，其产地为广西壮族自治区梧州市苍梧县。清同治十三年王鈵绅、王栋纂修《苍梧县志》记载："茶产多贤乡六堡，味厚，隔宿不变。"由此可见，六堡茶品质优异，早在清代就已有一定名气了。

Liubao tea is a type of Chinese dark tea produced in Cangwu County, Wuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The "Cangwu County Annals" compiled by Wang Bingshen and Wang Dong in the 13th year of Tongzhi reign (1874) records: "Tea is produced in Liubao, Duoxian Township, with strong flavor that doesn't change overnight." This shows that Liubao tea had excellent quality and reputation as early as the Qing Dynasty.

六堡不仅"天赋异禀"，还占尽了"地理优势"。梧州行政上虽属广西，但其实是粤语文化圈的一部分。从地缘上来讲，梧州又与广东省接壤而邻。现如今乘高铁从梧州至广州，耗时不足三个小时，不可谓不近。

Liubao tea not only has "natural advantages" but also enjoys "geographical benefits". Although Wuzhou administratively belongs to Guangxi, it's actually part of the Cantonese cultural sphere. Geographically, Wuzhou borders Guangdong Province. Nowadays, taking the high-speed rail from Wuzhou to Guangzhou takes less than three hours, which is quite close.

南洋华工的"保命茶"

马来西亚气候炎热且多雨潮湿，不少华工到当地务工都出现了水土不服的情况。他们随身携带着粤地流行的六堡茶，不仅可以大壶随意闷泡，更是具有消暑排热、祛湿润肠的功能，最适宜南洋务工的壮劳力。

Malaysia's hot, rainy and humid climate caused many Chinese laborers to suffer from acclimatization. They carried Liubao tea popular in Guangdong, which could not only be brewed casually in large pots but also had functions of relieving summer heat, removing dampness and soothing intestines, making it most suitable for strong laborers working in Southeast Asia.

神秘的槟榔香

六堡茶不仅可以排湿祛暑，传说还具有一种神秘的槟榔香。1961年陈兆谋、黄可邕撰写的《六堡茶》中写道："如果发酵得好，就能达到成茶黑色有光泽，冲泡后水色红亮，滋味浓厚而醇，且陈味即产生一种特有的似乎槟榔的香气。"

Liubao tea can not only remove dampness and relieve summer heat but is also said to have a mysterious betel nut aroma. The "Liubao Tea" written by Chen Zhaomou and Huang Keyong in 1961 states: "If fermented well, the tea can achieve a black and shiny appearance, brew into bright red liquor with rich and mellow taste, and aged flavor produces a unique aroma resembling betel nut."

六堡是中国黑茶里最容易冲泡的一种。六堡茶虽也紧压，但松紧适度，不需要费劲撬茶。您大可选用紫砂或瓷壶，抓上一把茶丢入泡茶器中，注入沸水略加闷泡即可饮用。

Liubao is the easiest to brew among Chinese dark teas. Although compressed, it's moderately tight and doesn't require much effort to break apart. You can simply use a purple clay or porcelain teapot, grab a handful of tea leaves, put them in the brewing vessel, add boiling water and steep briefly before drinking.
