Add, edit, and remove holdings in Yahoo Finance for Android

Keep track of stocks you've purchased to monitor your gains and losses. Record multiple lots to track multiple purchases or Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP) purchases. You can record a negative value for a holding using a negative "Shares" quantity (a negative value can't be entered in the "Price Paid" field).

Add a symbol

  1. On the Home tab, search for the symbol you want to add.
  2. Tap the Follow icon Image of the followed icon. in the upper right corner.
  3. Tap the Follow icon Image of the followed icon. next to the list where you want to add the symbol.
  4. Tap Save.

Delete a symbol

  1. On the Home tab, swipe down and tap the list where you want to delete a symbol.
  2. Tap the symbol you want to delete.
  3. Tap the Followed icon Image of the followed icon. to delete the symbol from your list.
  4. Tap Save.

Add a lot

  1. On the Home tab, swipe down and tap the list you want to add a lot to.
  2. Tap the symbol.
  3. Swipe down and tap Add holdings.
  4. Select the portfolio where you want to add the symbol lot.
  5. Fill in the transaction details.
  6. Tap Add.

Edit a lot

  1. On the Home tab, swipe down and tap the list you want to edit a lot to.
  2. Tap the symbol.
  3. Swipe down and tap View holdings.
  4. Tap View shares.
  5. Tap the share lot you want to edit.
  6. Tap Edit lot.
  7. Enter new info.
  8. Tap Save changes.

Delete a lot

  1. On the Home tab, swipe down and tap the list you want to delete a lot from.
  2. Tap the symbol.
  3. Swipe down and tap View holdings.
  4. Tap View shares.
  5. Tap the share lot you want to edit.
  6. Tap Edit lot.
  7. Tap Delete lot.
  8. Tap Delete.
