The MEGA games compilation from https://www.tinyjoypad.com/ has many nice and playable retro mini-games made available for the ATTiny85 as well as the ESP82xx-platform. The project is well documented on the web-side and source-code id provided to use for everyone. Now it was time to port this project to the new microcontoller from the Raspberry Pi foundation, the RPi Pico RP2040, which has clearly less power than the ESP8266 but is still strong enough to run all the game-code. The bottleneck is rather the display's refresh speed. I encontered a framerate slightly less than 20 fps. Does anyone know a better way to overcome this restriction? The Arduino IDE integration of Earle F. Philhower, III worked perfecltly so far. The compilation is now waiting for _YOUR_ contibutions.. the code is open source!
