Update for #1
I wasn't able to build the page with Jekyll, it complains about not being able to find sitemap.xml. Therefore I don't know how the changes look on the page.
I put in some code from your tutorial because back then it failed at the compile step in my setup and I thought it might be helpful if people would realize early that something's not right.
