Hello nerds!

I was hoping to find some custom configs to get inspired from or simply copy them. I thought it would be nice to create this thread so that it can serve as a library of custom configs, other than the examples that come with fastfetch.

If such a thing already exists (another post or repo), I apologize for missing it.

Here's mine! I'm not usually one for printing pictures like this, but it felt fitting. The battery module was replaced with a custom fish function that automatically updates to reflect whether or not the battery was charging and properly get the duration until full, as I noticed that the battery-time option in the built in battery module would just print 0:00 if the laptop was charging, or the time estimate was still being calculated.

For some reason the "PC" doesn't show up for me.

My json knowledge is very limited and I can't find a way to fix it.
Also where can I find the code to add these type of icons (is that unicode)?

These icons are obtained from nerd fonts
https://www.nerdfonts.com/
I'd maybe guess that PC isn't showing up if Fastfetch fails to detect a host.

I guess I could share mine. This is a modification of the default fastfetch theme that comes with Jakoolit's Hyprland Dots. Probably got the name wrong but if you google that I'm sure you'd find the right place.

Big ups to CarterLi and mmuman for the Haiku port of fastfetch.

Edit: Updated config... more dynamic depending on term width. It's got a max width of 92 columns (not including logo), but can be narrowed way down. Of course your output will be truncated, especially if there's a large logo. For very narrow terminals I'd do "fastfetch -l none".

How do you deal with some of the properties that change length? as I also have enclosed box's and the bars at the end keep getting moved.

If the lines are really long I just let the final bar be missing and lie to myself that's it's an indicator that I may not be seeing the full output. As far as getting the bars to line up for differing lengths, that's what the constants do (mostly {$1}). Here's one with 2 long lines on a terminal narrower that the 92 columns I have set.

I did play around with trying to back the cursor up a few positions, adding ellipses (...), and then the final bar. I was just never able to get it to work right. I did pose a question and ask for workarounds here: #1648 but nothing really ever came of it.
