Description
Attempted with multiple versions of Element desktop and web, the latter on multiple versions of Brave.
- From the Element home screen, click Explore Public Rooms.
- Tab twice to reach the list of available room directory servers.
- I've found no way to interact with this dropdown via the keyboard.
Things I've attempted:
- Alt down-arrow usually opens these up. In this case it makes NVDA's focus mode entry sound but doesn't seem to change anything.
- Space. This immediately pops me to a close button, but again doesn't actually open the menu.
- Arrowing around on the menu itself. up/down seems to change nothing.
- Using NVDA's object navigation mode, routing my mouse to the text or the radio button, and simulating a click. Neither works.
I've thrown all I can think of at this dropdown and nothing works. It's a frustrating limitation, since it is encouraged to run home servers where we can, but any blind person who does can't search room directories outside their own server using either the desktop or web client.
Thanks, hope this can get some attention soon. I keep wondering if there's a Matrix room for some topic I'm interested in, running into this limitation, and just giving up.
