How do i specify the version for the linter\compiler?

I see this error in my code, but it's perfectly valid in Visual Studio, builds just fine, I think it's running the checks against .net Core?

Is there some VSCode option somewhere to say ".net 4.8", I mean it's in the project properties, but I'm still getting the error.
