I haven't used Gulp yet but couldn't we just add this task to the repository so that you can load it directly?

#17 is an example of Gulp integration. If it's a little too intrusive then this documentation is probably the best solution.

Update: I've fixed it so it's not intrusive. Had to use my head a little. The task can now be loaded by using require('can-compile/tasks/gulp.js')
