The rolling release deployed to speed up bugfix publication!
Till the end of 2021, bugfix publications have been synchronized with publications on st.com, two or three times a year, in the frame of full or patch releases.
The new strategy, deployed since December 2021, is to have bugfixes, if any ready, published more often in the frame of the rolling release and made available sooner, ahead of their official publications within the respective STM32Cube firmware repos.
Current step is to focus on:
the following (x13) STM32 series: F0, F1, F2, F3, F4, F7, G0, G4, H7, L0, L1, L4, L5
Except during release periods, a bunch of bugfixes are pushed to some of the above mentioned repos each 1-2 weeks.
Following 1-2 weeks, a bunch of other bugfixes are pushed to some other repos different from the previous ones.
And so on till all repos are updated. Once done, a new iteration starts.
So far, around 400 fixes have been made available for the above mentioned series. Next step is to broaden the scope to the CMSIS Device interfaces (list of available repos).
Still more to come! Enjoy our STM32Cube offer and stay tuned!
