The Chinese toy industry has achieved remarkable growth against the backdrop of a sluggish global trade environment. In 2015, China's toy exports reached 97.35 billion yuan (approximately $15.666 billion), a year-on-year increase of 12.1%. Even as China's overall foreign trade declined by 12.6% in the first two months of this year, toy exports still grew against the trend by 3.5%.
