ByteDance Acquires Oladance: Expanding AI Hardware Portfolio with Open-Ear Headphones

中国科技巨头字节跳动近期完成对国内新兴耳机品牌Oladance的全资收购，标志着其在AI硬件领域的又一次重要布局。据工商信息显示，Oladance现已由字节跳动100%控股，原有投资方黑蚁资本、蓝驰创投等均已退出。

Chinese tech giant ByteDance has recently completed the full acquisition of domestic emerging headphone brand Oladance, marking another important move in its AI hardware strategy. According to business registration information, Oladance is now 100% owned by ByteDance, with previous investors including Black Ant Capital and BlueRun Ventures having exited.

此次收购早有端倪，今年5月就有消息称字节跳动以3-5亿元人民币的价格完成收购，并已派驻团队入驻。Oladance由前BOSE高管李浩乾联合多位BOSE工程师于2021年创立，其核心产品采用OWS（开放式可穿戴立体声）专利技术，主打无感佩戴、不入耳设计、音响级声效和超长续航等特点。

The acquisition had been anticipated since May this year, when reports surfaced about ByteDance completing the deal for 300-500 million yuan and dispatching its team. Founded in 2021 by former BOSE executive Li Haoqian and several BOSE engineers, Oladance's core products feature OWS (Open Wearable Stereo) patented technology, emphasizing comfort, open-ear design, premium sound quality and extended battery life.

开放式耳机市场正迎来爆发式增长。IDC数据显示，2024年上半年该品类出货量达1,184万台，同比激增303.6%。字节跳动此次收购不禁让人联想到其2021年90亿元收购VR设备厂商PICO的举措，以及Meta在2014年20亿美元收购Oculus的经典案例。

The open-ear headphone market is experiencing explosive growth. IDC data shows the category shipped 11.84 million units in the first half of 2024, a staggering 303.6% year-on-year increase. This acquisition reminds industry observers of ByteDance's 9 billion yuan acquisition of VR device maker PICO in 2021, as well as Meta's landmark $2 billion acquisition of Oculus in 2014.
