Arduino unzipping problem, Can't Find arduino.exe

Hello, I Have a Arduino Diecimila and Windows XP, I downloaded arduino-0012-win , Followed the instructions on how to Install the drivers, I'm pretty sure it it worked but should it even matter for this problem?

Anyway right clicked it and did open with > Compressed (Zipped) Folder

I see:

drivers examples hardware java lib reference sketchbook arduino.exe run.bat jikes.exe five DLL's readme

OK, looks good:
Then I closed it, right click > extract all > to my desktop
Now the only files I can see are:

examples java lib reference sketchbook :o

Where did they go???
I've never done anything with microcontrollers before but I thought that they should have the same files and then I double click on 'arduino.exe' and I get a pretty IDE

Thanks

Joshua,

I haven't seen this problem, but I expect it has something to do with the "Desktop" being a rather special folder -- the root in fact -- in the Windows folder hierarchy. Try extracting somewhere else and see if that solves your problem?

Regards,

Mikal

Could be a bad (truncated or corrupted) download - try downloading the zip file again.

Thanks mikalhart and kg4wsv but that didn't work, I'm just going to try again in a couple weeks.
