天津海关查获象牙首饰走私案 | 濒危物种保护警示
【津滨海客户端讯】（记者 李棽棽）近日，天津邮局海关在例行监管工作中取得重大突破，成功查获一起通过国际邮件走私象牙制品的案件。
[Jinhai Client News] (Reporter Li Shenshen) Recently, Tianjin Postal Customs made a significant breakthrough in routine supervision, successfully intercepting a case of ivory product smuggling through international mail.
海关关员在对一票申报为"奖章饰品螺石"的进境邮件进行X光机检查时，发现图像显示异常。经开箱查验，查获疑似象牙制品项链1条、吊坠2个及耳钉2对，共计7件饰品，总毛重42克。
Customs officers detected anomalies during X-ray inspection of an inbound mail declared as "medal ornament shell stone". Upon physical inspection, they found 7 suspected ivory items including 1 necklace, 2 pendants and 2 pairs of earrings, with a total gross weight of 42 grams.
经专业机构鉴定，确认这些饰品均为现生象象牙制品。根据《濒危野生动植物种国际贸易公约》(CITES)，象牙及其制品属于严格保护的濒危物种。
After appraisal by professional institutions, these ornaments were confirmed to be ivory products from living elephants. According to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES), ivory and its products are strictly protected endangered species.
法律警示：我国《野生动物保护法》和《濒危野生动植物进出口管理条例》明确规定，除持有国家濒管办核发的允许进出口证明书并办理海关手续外，严禁任何象牙及其制品的贸易、携带和邮寄行为，违者将承担法律责任。
Legal Warning: China's Wildlife Protection Law and Regulations on the Import and Export of Endangered Species clearly stipulate that except with permits issued by the Endangered Species Import and Export Management Office and completing customs procedures, any trade, carrying or mailing of ivory and its products is strictly prohibited, and violators will bear legal responsibility.
天津海关提醒广大出入境旅客：自觉遵守法律法规，切勿携带或邮寄濒危物种及其制品出入境，共同保护全球生物多样性。
