influxctl table rename

The influxctl table rename command renames a table in the specified database in an InfluxDB Cloud Dedicated cluster.

Usage

influxctl table rename [flags] <DATABASE_NAME> <CURRENT_TABLE_NAME> <NEW_TABLE_NAME>

Arguments

ArgumentDescription
DATABASE_NAMEName of the database the table is in
CURRENT_TABLE_NAMECurrent name of the table
NEW_TABLE_NAMENew name for the table

If using Docker to install and run InfluxDB, the latest tag will point to InfluxDB 3 Core. To avoid unexpected upgrades, use specific version tags in your Docker deployments. For example, if using Docker to run InfluxDB v2, replace the latest version tag with a specific version tag in your Docker pull command–for example:

docker pull influxdb:2
