Activating optional features for GitHub Apps

  1. Navigate to your account settings.

    • For a GitHub App owned by a personal account, in the upper-right corner of any page, click your profile photo, then click Settings.
    • For a GitHub App owned by an organization, in the upper-right corner of any page, click your profile photo, then click Your organizations. Then, to the right of the organization, click Settings.

  2. In the left sidebar, click Developer settings.

  3. Click Edit next to the GitHub App you want to enable an optional feature for.

  4. In the settings sidebar, click Optional features.

  5. Next to the optional feature you want to enable for your app, click Opt-in.
