On Amazon US, "Dream of the Red Chamber" receives numerous 5-star ratings. While it's unclear how much they comprehend, this doesn't stop fans from praising it highly. Some plan 18-month reading schedules, while others write book reports worthy of perfect scores.
武侠小说的文化冲击
2018年，6部中国文学作品在英语世界出版，包括张爱玲的《小团圆》、东西的《后悔录》等。但最具影响力的当属《射雕英雄传》的海外出版。

Western readers find Chinese novels appealing because protagonists aren't purely good, and their growth journeys are dramatic. Lines like "Don't bully the young and poor" are exhilarating.
相较于西方骑士精神小说，中国小说中"人不为己天诛地灭"等理念显得更有血有肉。外国网友甚至创造了新词"Warporn"来形容这种阅读快感。
Compared to Western chivalric novels, Chinese sayings like "Heaven destroys those who don't look out for themselves" feel more visceral. Foreign netizens coined "Warporn" to describe this reading thrill.
