As an important agricultural export base in East China, Suzhou is consolidating its leading position through technological innovation and international cooperation.

苏州美林蓓园艺有限公司总经理王介洪向记者展示了最新出口订单："这是我们今年出口到美国的货物，包括鸢尾、马蹄莲、睡莲等品种。前批出口量达45,600株。"

Wang Jiehong, general manager of Suzhou Meilinbei Horticulture Co., Ltd., showed the latest export orders to reporters: "These are goods exported to the United States this year, including irises, calla lilies, water lilies and other varieties. The previous batch exported reached 45,600 plants."

在太仓市美林蓓园艺有限公司的生产基地，记者看到即将出口美国的花卉根茎正在装箱，涵盖10多个品种。这些根茎只需水培一个多月就能绽放出美丽的水生花卉。今年前两个月，该企业出口欧美国家的水生植物已达150万株。

At the production base of Meilinbei Horticulture in Taicang, reporters saw flower rhizomes ready for export to the United States being packed, covering more than 10 varieties. These rhizomes can bloom into beautiful aquatic flowers after just over a month of hydroponics. In the first two months of this year, the company has exported 1.5 million aquatic plants to European and American countries.

作为专业的水生植物种植出口基地，该企业已实现自动化生产管理，包括自动灌溉和施肥系统。目前培养床上的250万株鸢尾都是为明年欧美客户准备的订单。王介洪表示："今年订单总量比前两年增长约20%，价值约120万美元。"

As a professional aquatic plant cultivation and export base, the company has achieved automated production management, including automatic irrigation and fertilization systems. The 2.5 million irises currently on the cultivation beds are all orders for European and American customers next year. Wang Jiehong said: "This year's total orders have increased by about 20% compared to the previous two years, worth about $1.2 million."

据统计，苏州农产品出口额去年达4亿美元，产品远销欧亚非等地区。值得注意的是，粮油、休闲食品等深加工产品占比超过70%，显示苏州农产品加工业的转型升级成效显著。

According to statistics, Suzhou's agricultural exports reached $400 million last year, with products sold to Europe, Asia, Africa and other regions. Notably, deeply processed products such as grain, oil and snack foods account for more than 70%, showing the remarkable results of Suzhou's agricultural processing industry transformation and upgrading.

苏州市农业委员会副调研员姜忠坚透露："我们正与罗马尼亚大使馆洽谈合作，计划将苏州农业与中东欧国家市场对接，在一带一路倡议下保持全省领先优势。"

Jiang Zhongjian, deputy inspector of Suzhou Agricultural Committee, revealed: "We are negotiating cooperation with the Romanian Embassy, planning to connect Suzhou agriculture with Central and Eastern European markets, maintaining provincial leading advantages under the Belt and Road Initiative."
