I am using Thunderbird for e-mails. I noticed that somehow all e-mails coming from Codeberg are annoted as coming from JakobDev. I initially wanted to file an issue for this, but first wanted to investigate further. It seems that JakobDev is just a random Codeberg user and it seems like it was the first user that I received a notification from from Codeberg.

The first codeberg e-mail I have in thunderbird has the following header present:

From: "JakobDev" <noreply@codeberg.org>

However, more recent e-mails from Codeberg, with notifications from other projects, don't contain any username, so the sender is just

From: noreply@codeberg.org

It seems that Thunderbird (and likely many other e-mail softwares will have similar behavior) stored this e-mail address with the first name it saw attached to it and is showing that name when no name is specified.

As a solution/suggestion, I think e-mails from Codeberg should just have "Codeberg" as the sender, or consistently mention the originating username of the notification.

If this is a forgejo bug instead of a Codeberg configuration issue, please advise such and I can file an issue there.
