Baogang Group Achieves Profit Turnaround in 2023 with Rising Steel Export Volume and Prices in Q1

4月18日 - 包钢股份(600010)发布2023年年报，实现营收705.65亿元，净利润5.15亿元，同比扭亏为盈。公司同时宣布1-2亿元股份回购计划。

April 18 - Baogang Group (600010) released its 2023 annual report, achieving revenue of 70.565 billion yuan and net profit of 515 million yuan, turning losses into profits year-on-year. The company also announced a share repurchase plan of 100-200 million yuan.

2023年钢铁行业面临"需求减弱、价格下降、成本高企、利润下滑"的挑战局面。包钢股份通过优化产品结构，高效益产品超目标18.3万吨，自产铁精矿创935.3万吨历史新高。

The steel industry in 2023 faced challenges of "weakened demand, price declines, high costs, and profit drops". Baogang optimized its product mix, exceeding high-value product targets by 183,000 tons, with self-produced iron ore concentrate hitting a record 9.353 million tons.

稀土业务方面，虽然行业整体走弱，包钢稀土钢产量首次突破120万吨。公司还完成萤石生产线投产，填补包头氟化工产业空白。

In rare earth business, despite industry weakness, Baogang's rare earth steel output exceeded 1.2 million tons for the first time. The company also completed fluorite production line, filling the gap in Baotou's fluorine chemical industry.

包钢拥有世界级的资源储备：稀土氧化物储量3900万吨(世界第一)，萤石1.3亿吨(世界第二)，铌660万吨(世界第二)。

Baogang possesses world-class resource reserves: 39 million tons of rare earth oxides (world No.1), 130 million tons of fluorite (world No.2), and 6.6 million tons of niobium (world No.2).

2024年一季度，包钢钢材出口同比增长19.23%至46.93万吨，出口金额增长16.93%至2.97亿美元。公司成功生产美标325HB高强热轧钢轨，积极开拓"一带一路"市场。

In Q1 2024, Baogang's steel exports increased 19.23% year-on-year to 469,300 tons, with export value up 16.93% to $297 million. The company successfully produced ASTM 325HB high-strength hot-rolled rails, actively developing Belt and Road markets.
