Yingde currently has over 175,000 mu of tea gardens with an annual output of 14,000 tons of tea. It is a national geographical indication protected product, included in the first batch of 100 China-EU mutual recognition and protection geographical indication lists. With a brand reputation score of 86.62, it ranks 22nd among 1,471 Chinese geographical indication protected tea products, and 4th in the black tea category.
英德市先后荣获全国重点产茶县、全国十大生态产茶县、中国茶业百强县、中国茶业品牌影响力全国十强县（市）等40多个省部级以上奖项，还多次获得国际级金奖。
