Legacy client settings
If needed, users on our Personal and Pro plans can enable legacy connection protocols that may be required by older devices or clients, or to use as a “send as” address in services like Gmail. This also lets you keep using popular classic clients like Eudora – just switch to Auth-Email's legacy servers instead.
Once your email account has been authorized in the Auth-Email dashboard, change the settings in your email client, app or device to use the Auth-Email IMAP, POP or SMTP servers. Choose your server and port from the list below to match the email provider you are using. If needed, see our list of client setup guides for help finding and configuring the settings in your chosen client.
If you are unsure which details to use, check the Auth-Email dashboard, which will always show the correct server settings for each authorized account. You should always make sure the username you are using matches the authorized account (e.g., [email protected]). The password is the one you set when you authorized the account with Auth-Email, not your actual email account password.
You must have the “legacy SSL/TLS” toggle enabled in your Auth-Email dashboard to use the server details listed below, otherwise you will find that login attempts fail. If needed, you can mix and match the legacy server settings with the standard configuration. For example, you can use the legacy SMTP server with the standard IMAP or POP server for the same account.
