No one believed in us, and no one wanted to fund us early on. But Atlantic did - fully - and they have been the best partners since.

When we first pitched SoundCloud, Christophe said: "You are crazy to start something in music. It's so hard! Let me put together a killer angel round for you and let's goooo!"

Plantix wouldn't exist without Atlantic. We had two term sheets ten years ago - one VC wanted us in Netherlands greenhouses, Atlantic believed in smallholder farmers.

Christophe saw what others didn't at the time: experiences weren't just a small add-on to travel, but the future of the industry. That early conviction helped us build the foundation for everything GetYourGuide has become.

We had generic conversations with many investors. Then we met Christophe - he was the first person who truly understood our product and believed in us as a team. He'd been a founder himself and was very product-driven.

I pitched an idea to Christophe and Marc: they weren't too amazed by it. Instead, they suggested looking at a bigger market and introduced me to my co-founders - that's how it all started, exactly 10 years ago.
