Here is an alternative to online IDEs: Users can call their favorite desktop IDE directly from the web app. Code snippets can be sent between web app and IDE seamlessly when the web app is integrated with the open source Web-IDE-Bridge, https://github.com/peterthoeny/web-ide-bridge
