中国短剧出海半年创收2.3亿美元:中式"霸总"如何征服全球市场?

The year 2024 marks the explosive growth of Chinese short dramas going global. From "Spoiled by My CEO Husband" to "Marrying a Billionaire in My Twilight Years", Chinese micro-dramas are creating a cultural storm worldwide. According to the latest report from DianDian Data, overseas short dramas have generated over $230 million in revenue in the first half of the year, with full-year projections reaching $400 million.
行业数据显示,短剧出海APP数量从去年11月的个位数暴增至今年6月的100余款。其中ReelShort、DramaBox和ShortMax三大平台贡献了80%以上的市场份额。美国市场以64.8%的占比成为最大收入来源。
Industry data shows that the number of short drama apps going overseas has skyrocketed from single digits in November 2023 to over 100 by June 2024. Three major platforms - ReelShort, DramaBox and ShortMax - account for over 80% of the market share. The US market contributes 64.8% of total revenue, making it the largest income source.

专家指出,短剧出海成功得益于三大因素:1)全球碎片化娱乐消费趋势;2)中国文化亲近感;3)TikTok等平台的基础设施支持。随着行业进入2.0阶段,内容创新和品质提升将成为下一阶段竞争关键。
Experts point out that the success of short dramas going global stems from three factors: 1) Global trend of fragmented entertainment consumption; 2) Cultural affinity with Chinese content; 3) Infrastructure support from platforms like TikTok. As the industry enters phase 2.0, content innovation and quality improvement will become key competitive advantages.
