"Clients acquired through Google trace posting are all looking for suppliers with overseas warehouses, which has become an industry trend," said Song Jie, a kitchenware factory owner from Chaozhou at the 135th Canton Fair. His factory entered cross-border e-commerce five years ago, focusing on Japanese, Korean, and European/American markets.

This Canton Fair debuted a cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehouse exhibition zone, featuring 158 enterprises from 11 provinces. As a major foreign trade province, Guangdong shows polarized export performance: strong growth in mechanical/electrical products but challenges for traditional manufacturing. Customs data shows Guangdong's exports of data processing equipment, mobile phones, and home appliances grew over 10% in Q1, while clothing exports dropped 8.3%.
