While the UK Cabinet Office statement didn't name specific Chinese companies, instead referring to "surveillance equipment produced by companies subject to China's security laws," two informed sources revealed the move specifically targets Chinese security firms Hikvision and Dahua.
据悉，这项新举措意味着英政府部门当中大量的已有的有中国厂商生产的摄像头将被拆除。根据英政府监控摄像头专员统计，英格兰和威尔士至少有三分之一的警察部队使用海康威视生产的监控摄像头。
This new policy means numerous existing Chinese-made cameras in UK government departments will be removed. According to the UK Surveillance Camera Commissioner, at least one-third of police forces in England and Wales use Hikvision surveillance cameras.
