According to the latest regulations from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the ASTM F963-17 toy safety standard officially took effect on February 28, 2018. As the largest export market for Chinese toys, this move by the U.S. will subject Chinese toy manufacturers to more stringent market access requirements.

数据显示,2017年中国玩具出口额达239.62亿美元,同比增长30.4%,美国80%以上的进口玩具来自中国。ASTM标准已成为美国认可度最高的认证标准之一,不符合该标准的玩具将无法进入美国市场。
Statistics show that China's toy exports reached $23.962 billion in 2017, a year-on-year increase of 30.4%, with over 80% of U.S. imported toys coming from China. The ASTM standard has become one of the most recognized certification standards in the U.S., and toys that fail to comply cannot enter the American market.
SGS技术经理彭丽指出:"ASTMF963-17主要在可充电锂电池领域有重要调整。电池过充测试需要持续14天,制造商需特别注意。"
SGS technical manager Peng Li noted: "ASTM F963-17 mainly has significant adjustments in the rechargeable lithium battery sector. The battery overcharge test requires continuous charging for 14 days, which manufacturers need to pay special attention to."
