The Company Law stipulates the minimum registered capital requirements for foreign trade companies:
1. Previously, the minimum registered capital of a foreign trade company was 1 million RMB.
2. Now, according to the new PRC Company Law, the minimum registered capital is 30,000 RMB.
3. For a sole proprietor to register a foreign trade company, the minimum registered capital is 100,000 RMB.
4. For two or more individuals to register a foreign trade company, the minimum registered capital is 30,000 RMB.
5. If a foreign trade company applies for the status of a general taxpayer, the minimum registered capital requirement is 500,000 RMB.
