外贸就是对外贸易,又称进出口贸易;指一国与另一国之间进行的货物、劳务和技术的交换。是国内出口商获取外贸资质后,将货物等通关出口到国外进口商的系列过程。
Foreign trade, also called import/export trade, refers to the exchange of goods, services and technology between countries. It's the process where domestic exporters obtain trade qualifications and ship goods through customs to foreign importers.

外贸常规基础单证包括合同、发票、箱单、提单和一些随附单证。
Essential documents include: contract, invoice, packing list, bill of lading and additional certificates.
1. 合同(CONTRACT)
是出口商和进口商之间达成协议的确认书。除了与国内销售合同相同的要素如买卖双方名址,签订时间、地点、交易货物品名、付款方式、违约责任以外,还可以根据不同产品的特点附加条款。
A legal agreement between exporter and importer. Besides standard elements like parties' information, product details, payment terms and liabilities, it may include additional clauses based on product characteristics.
2. 发票(PROFORMA INVOICE)
一般发票所采用的都是形式发票,形式发票的用处一是类似于单方面合同,作为报价和确定交易的工具。一些国家的客户喜欢以"确认形式发票"的形式作为合同。
Usually proforma invoice serves as a quotation and transaction confirmation tool. Some countries' clients prefer using "confirmed proforma invoice" as contract.
3. 箱单(PACKING LIST)
主要用于说明货物的包装情况,如品名、数量、包装方式、毛重、体积。

4. 提单(BILL OF LOADING)
提单就是货物交付货运公司以后,由货运公司出具的证明,相当于发货凭证。每个船公司都有自己式样的提单,内容则大同小异。提单是最核心单证,某种意义上就是货物的代表,货款的价值。
